Winter Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Dodge City, KS close for 10-11-2017

Compared with last week: Feeder steer 600-750 lbs not enough comparable sales 
for an accurate market test, higher undertone noted; 750-800 lbs firm; 800-900 
lbs 5.00-7.00 higher. Feeder heifers 550-750 lbs steady, 750-900 lbs 6.00-8.00 
higher. Steer and heifers calves a higher undertone noted, instance 5.00-12.00 
higher, best demand for long weaned, thin fleshed with a complete vaccination 
program. Slaughter cows and bulls steady to 2.00 higher. Trade moderate to 
active, demand moderate to good. Receipts: 62 percent 600 lbs and over; 33 
percent 600 lbs and under, with 05 percent slaughter cows and bulls. Feeder 
supply 54 percent steers and 46 percent heifers.
